Ben Rothschild is a chess teacher. He is a chess expert, according to the rankings of the United States Chess Federation. At age 16, he was ranked 17th in the nation for his age. In 2006, his high school's chess team Niles North won the Illinois High School Association team chess state championships. The Illinois General Assembly honored them with a resolution passed in the House. In 2008, Niles North placed third at the High School Chess Nationals. Ben can play blindfold and calculate ten moves ahead. He has defeated multiple chess masters in tournaments. He is the founder of the nonprofit organization Chess Kings which offers after school classes, private lessons, and chess camps. He is also the author of over two hundred free chess instruction videos on YouTube. He has a Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of Illinois at Urbana.
