About the Author
Kay Kaufman Shelemay (Ph.D., University of Michigan) is G. Gordon Watts Professor of Music at Harvard University and has taught at Columbia, NYU, and Wesleyan. A Fellow of the American Academy of the Arts and Sciences and the American Philosophical Society, she is a Past President of the Society for Ethnomusicology. She has received fellowships from numerous institutions, including the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Shelemay’s research interests include musical ethnography, music and memory, and Ethiopian music and musicians in their North American diaspora. She is the author of nine books and editions, including Music, Ritual, and Falasha History, which won the ASCAP-Deems Taylor Award and the Prize of the International Musicological Society. An outstanding teacher, Shelemay received an Award for Distinguished Teaching from the Columbia University School of General Studies in 1982, the Joseph R. Levenson Memorial Teaching Prize and the Phi Beta Kappa Teaching Prize at Harvard in 2006, and, in 2014, the Everett Mendelsohn Excellence in Mentoring Award at Harvard. In 2014, Shelemay was elected an Associate Fellow of the Ethiopian Academy of Sciences.

Most books talk all about how the author did great exploits but never tell you how to be successful. Here Billy gives lots of examples with practical advise on how to get started, how to build and what to do once you get there. I've read dozens of books on wealth building and finances and this is similar. It gives general advice such as get out of consumer debt and start buying rental property or other true assets. In one chapter, he said he sold a business for one million dollars but we never learn what that business was. The book's plan for getting out of debt is a standard plan, pay off one debt then apply that money to the next etc. but the wealth building part is vague. This is a good starter book if you haven't read any money books and want the basics.

The Money Mastery book is an easy book to read. It is the first book I read on personal finances and I will say it got me thinking to make changes and master money. Since after reading the book, I have read 3 other books on personal finances and I started practicing what I gleaned from the book. I have decided to spend the entire year mastering my money and not my money mastering me. This quote from the book burns in my heart there is a chest of treasure with my name on it, mine is to get that treasure and give it all away. This stuck with me. The book changed my mindset on money management and the purpose why God wants to have money.

This book gives us the nuts and bolts of how to prosper. We know that God wants us to prosper but most of us are at a loss as to how to make that happen. Money Mastery: Making Sense of Making Money for Making a Difference helps us in layman's terms understand the steps to take to build wealth for the Kingdom of God. It is the Triple X Factor.

I like Billy Epperharts simple approach to coaching me on how to get my finances to work for me. I took a lot of accounting courses in college and but the concept that certain things like my car and my house are not actually assets because they're not producing a cash flow to me so that whole concept was eye-opening.

This is really a great book. It has everything in it you'll need to create prosperity in your life. It will show you how to replace your current income and grow your income through multiple income streams. About the Author
Jerome Schaufeld's wealth of experience in entrepreneurship, operations, and general management of technology-based companies ranges from his current role as Professor of Entrepreneurship at WPI to an assignment as a commercialization consultant at Children's Hospital in Boston. He served as Director of the RI Slater Fund, was President and CEO of Mass Ventures, and he has a "hands on" track record in several early-stage companies that ranges from functional to board-level advisory roles. He is a member of the Launch Pad Angel Group in Wellesley and Co-founder of the Cherrystone Angels in Rhode Island. In addition, Mr. Schaufeld is an advisor to the newly formed Boynton Angel group in Central Massachusetts, a charter member of the national Angel Capital Association (ACA), and a founder/ participant in the regional NE Angels ACA group. Mr. Schaufeld was a founder and the first Chairman of the MIT Enterprise Forum. He also founded the Incus Group, which is a CEO-level business acquisition and resource organization.Mr. Schaufeld was co-founder of Phoenix Controls Corporation. The company pioneered an approach to the control of air flow in critical laboratory and hospital environments and was successfully sold to a Fortune 500 company. With a graduate engineering degree, research experience at MIT, an MBA, professional engineer's license, and Professional Board Director's Certification, Mr. Schaufeld has a distinguished technical and operations-savvy managerial career. Amazon says I have the Kindle edition but I have the paperback.I'm only up to chapter 6 at the moment but so far Steven Hugg has been very informative and, best of all, interesting. So often programming books can just be a drag to read, not this one. I found an error and searched for an errata online but haven't found one. On pg. 40 some changes to the video kernel are made but the snippet is incomplete, to save space I assume. On the third line of this snippet (ldy counter) 'counter' is not defined and people picking this up without some prior knowledge may get frustrated. There are a few other parts of the kernel that have to be changed in order to produce the image on the adjacent page (pg. 41). First CTRLPF should be set to #1 to mirror the playfield. Second, if you don't zero the PF0, PF1, and PF2 registers of the TIA in the overscan or vblank you will end up with what was left over in them when the screen starts to redraw again after vsync. $BF is last stored in them. This leaves the top not being a flat line (as it is on pg. 41). The top line will look like this ##_##_############_##_##############_##_##. You could also 'sta WSYNC' after storing A into PF0, PF1, PF2 in 'lvscan' to solve this without wasting extra space. These types of mistakes can make learning to program from a book difficult. I have a background in programming and in 65xx assembly, in particular using dasm (not for the VCS though), so I didn't have too much of an issue, but not all readers will have my background. So far I'm enjoying the book and by no means is this a bad book. Very good actually. All programming books have mistakes. The VCS was a unique machine. Sometimes it will make you cry for a frame buffer, but it's so satisfying to unlock this little machine and make it bend to your will.I'll update this review as I move through the book.EDIT: I'll correct my above statement. It seems the book wants you to rely on examples on the companion website to further explain the code snippets. So what I perceived as an error was simply me not realizing that the info was in a different location.

This is a great companion book to very cool online Atari 2600 IDE and DASM compiler that allows you to see your code changes in real time in a java based Atari 2600 emulator. This book attempts to introduce you to 6502 Assembly Language from scratch. I would recommend looking online for a PDF of a book called '6502 Assembly Language Programming' by Judi N. Fernandez, Donna N. Tabler, and Ruth Ashley as a great companion to this book. Between the two, you should be able to master this ancient dark art of assembly programming! Another online document that will give you even better insight to the Atari 2600 architecture to use the built in chips completing your ability to write games for this system is called the 'Stella Programmers Guide' by Steve Wright.

I'll preface my review by stating that I've always been a die-hard lover of the 65XX and have always enjoyed writing software for the various hardware that it's been employed by over the years. I purchased this book strictly to review from a programmer's perspective. I wanted to give it a thorough reading before recommending it to aspiring programmers and game design hobbyists who strive to work in an environment that requires the programmer to get as close to the bare metal as possible.Through the early chapters, the author gently leads you into 6502 programming fundamentals. This books does an excellent job in not only teaching the reader how to write code, but to take command of a feature-rich assembler with marcro's and labels. After the introduction, you're immediately lead into the hardware of the Atari VCS. THIS is where the book REALLY shines. The author does an excellent job illustrating programming principles in a simple, readable way that can be reasonably understood by someone with little to no programming experience.This is where MANY technical writings (especially in machine code / assembly language programming) fail miserably. As you learn about the 6502's load/store instructions, bit-wise logic, conditional loops and the various addressing modes you will quickly understand these concepts as you: Draw a sprite on the screen, change the background color, manipulate the playfield registers and how to use the processor to keep track of CPU cycles/color clocks for time sensitive operations. Rather then spending 2 hours explaining to someone how indirect Y addressing works with the 6502, I can show someone a few paragraphs in a chapter in this book and they will IMMEDIATELY understand how it works and why. Trust me, I've already done it!Each chapter becomes a building block, step by step. I doubt many people will feel overwhelmed by the book providing that you take it slow, one chapter at a time. The trick is to get "good" at the exercise in one chapter before moving to the next. While this book isn't a complete bible for the Atari VCS, it's an excellent complimentary piece to the Stella Programmer's Handbook. I do feel that some of the more important aspects of VCS programming were a bit rushed and not as thoroughly fleshed out as they should have been for clarity. But it still reads well.To anyone who is interested in learning how to program the Atari VCS or any 6502 based console/computer, I highly recommend this book as it translates the technical jargon of the 6502/VCS into an easily understood and smooth read. This is something that you won't hardly find in the 6502 "Bibles" by Rodney Zaks and Lance Laventhal.

About the Author
John McCormick is Jean Monnet Professor of European Union Politics at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). He was educated at Rhodes University (South Africa), the University of London, and Indiana University, and has been a visiting professor at Exeter University and the University of Sussex in Britain, and at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium. He has lived in, traveled to, or undertaken research in nearly 40 countries in North and Central America, Europe, Southeast Africa, and Southeast Asia. Before completing his Ph.D. in political science, he worked in the public sector for two environmental interest groups and was a consultant for a number of specialized agencies of the United Nations, including FAO and the UN Environment Program. His teaching and research interests lie in comparative politics and public policy, with particular interests in environmental policy, British politics, and the politics of the European Union. His other publications include EUROPEAN UNION POLITICS (Palgrave Macmillan, 2011), EUROPEANISM (Oxford University Press, 2010), and CONTEMPORARY BRITAIN (Palgrave Macmillan, 2nd edition, 2006).
